Jorginho has dropped a sly hint that a reunion with former Napoli pal Dries Mertens is on the cards at Chelsea.

The Blues have been chasing a striker all January and that has onlt amplified as the month has dragged on.

Frank Lampard made a personal plea to the board after the FA Cup win over Hull where they limped to a 2-1 victory.

Michy Batshuayi was the preferred choice up top after an ankle injury to Tammy Abraham against Arsenal and the Belgian got on the scoresheet.

But the former Marseille man has largely played a secondary role all season, playing in just 138 minutes of Premier League action.

A fan account dedicated to the Italian midfielder posted a picture of the two during their time at Napoli, accompanied with some emojis indicating that a transfer is close.

And Jorginho subtlely liked the post, letting some know that he the post might be correct.

Mertens has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time but the forward was keen on hanging around in Naples to become the side’s top scorer.
