Arsenal fans have lost all love for Olivier Giroud, who is nearing a transfer to Tottenham this January.
The Chelsea man has been largely ostracised by Frank Lampard in his first year as manager at Stamford Bridge.
The World Cup winner has played in just five appearances in the Premier League, failing to score.
And the Blues are happy to see him go, as long as a replacement is signed.
Inter Milan had emerged as strong contenders for his signature, as have Lazio, but Tottenham have launched a late bid for the Frenchman.
With Harry Kane out injured, Jose Mourinho is light in the forward’s department.
And Giroud would provide ample experience in their hunt for a spot in the top four.
Further reports indicate that the 33-year-old is desperate for a move to Spurs to go through.
But his past affiliation with Arsenal makes a transfer back to north London particularly controversial.

One said: “Olivier Giroud is a bigger snake than Robin van Persie, debate.”
While another wrote: “Giroud is the biggest snake in all snakes… He mocked us wen they won Europa in Baku.
“He said Chelsea is bigger club than Arsenal. He is joining Tottenham…”
