The transfer window slams closed tomorrow evening, and there might be one or two surprise deals to go through yet.
One of them could see Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu return from his loan move at RB Leipzig, to then be sent on to Championship side Bristol City until the end of the season, according to Football Insider.
They claim that The Blues are ready to terminate the 19-year old’s season long loan deal in Germany, in an attempt to get him more first team football back in the UK.
Ampadu has endured a struggling loan spell so far mainly warming the bench in The Bundesliga. For his development, it would be wise if he moved elsewhere.
But of course, as it is a season long loan deal, Leipzig will have to agree to the termination as well, which at this point, probably isn’t that likely due to the circumstances.
Not long left if something is to get done here.
