Transfer news live: Arsenal to seal Cedric deal, Man United blow, Chelsea chase Dries Mertens

The January transfer window closes at 11pm tonight, so what business can we expect to see from clubs across the Premier League?

Arsenal have signed Pablo Mari, and are close to signing a new defender, whilst neighbours Tottenham Hotspur have completed a deal for Steven Bergwijn and have faint hopes of landing another forward.

Chelsea have been in the market for a striker but Frank Lampard has already admitted that the Blues could wait until the summer to open their chequebook.

West Ham have announced a deal for Tomas Soucek and have other irons in the fire, while Crystal Palace look set for a busy day chasing the likes of Jarrod Bowen.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Manchester United have reached an agreement for Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes but are still being linked to forwards themselves.
