Transfer news live: Chelsea deal done, Man United and Spurs battle for striker, Bowen medical

The transfer window slams shut at 11pm tonight, so there are less than three hours for clubs to get deals done.

In London, Arsenal have confirmed deals for Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares.

Tottenham have completed a deal for Steven Bergwijn from PSV and still want to sign a striker – but it’s not looking with time running out.

Chelsea are also searching for a forward, but Frank Lampard has ruled out signing Dries Mertens, and says Olivier Giroud will not be leaving either.

West Ham have announced a deal for Tomas Soucek and are close to landing Jarrod Bowen from Hull – but there are issues on personal terms.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Manchester United have completed the signing of midfielder Bruno Fernandes but are still being linked to forwards themselves, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate to bring in another striker – and both they and Spurs are said to be bidding for Odion Ighalo.
