“This is not the priority – there are five, six clubs that are interested in him.

“Afterwards, he must also be interested in the club, so we will see.”

Soumare is reportedly valued by Lille at around €40million (£33.9million), and they could allow him to leave in January.

Real Madrid eye Soumare

According to Voix du Nord, Real Madrid are making opening moves to try and convince Soumare to make the switch to La Liga.

Manchester United, Spurs, Napoli, Valencia and Wolves are all said to be tracking his progress, but if Madrid are to enter the race, that could rule a number of those sides out of the running.

However, Soumare is apparently attracted to a move to the Premier League, but if the paper is to be believed, Lille will be hoping for €50m (£42m) to €60m (£51m) to allow the midfielder to leave.
