Willian to snub Chelsea offer to seal Barcelona summer transfer

Barcelona are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Chelsea star Willian with a transfer believed to happen in the summer.

The Catalan giants have regularly been linked with a move for the winger, who is represented as the same agency, Sport Invest, as Philippe Coutinho.

Willian is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer and is now available to talk to foreign clubs over a future deal.

And Spanish outlet Marca claim that Barcelona have met with Willian’s representatives several times to reach an agreement.

It’s reported that the La Liga giants are close to agreeing a deal after Chelsea, who have offered Willian a new contract, refused to let the Brazilian leave in January.

Willian had been eager to speak about extending his Blues contract earlier this season.

He said back in November: “I feel happy here. I feel happy to play for this club but the situation is not in my hands.

“It’s in their hands. I’m waiting for them. They know what I want, what I want to do, so I wait for them.”

“I don’t want to talk to them [other clubs] because I have a contract until the end of the season.
