The January transfer window proved to be an increasingly frustrating period for Blues boss Frank Lampard, with the him unable to bolster his squad.
Throughout the month, Chelsea were linked with a whole host of names, including the likes of Ajax’s Hakim Zyiech and Napoli striker Dries Mertens.
However, nothing ended up materialising and the Blues have been left to get to the end of the season with what they have.

Chelsea blocked Rondon move
Chelsea turned down the opportunity to bolster their attacking options late on in the transfer window, blocking the offer of taking former Newcastle United striker Salomon Rondon on loan.
According to Shoot, the Blues were handed the chance to take the Dalian Yifang striker on loan for the remainder of the season but turned the offer down.
Chelsea were linked with a whole host of attacking options throughout January, including Mertens and PSG’s Edison Cavani.
Lampard to show Kepa the door
According to The Express, Chelsea chief Lampard will be on the look out for a new goalkeeper in the summer after telling the Blues hierarchy that he plans to show record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga the door.
The £71.6million recruit was dropped from the side for the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Leicester City on Saturday, with Lampard opting for Willy Caballero between the sticks.
It is claimed that Lampard has lost faith in the Spanish shot-stopper and is not afraid to keep him out of the side.
