Pulisic, Giroud, Abraham, Kepa – Latest Chelsea team, injury news and expected return dates

Chelsea came away with a point from their crucial Premier League game against Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday’s early kick off.

Defender Antonio Rudiger was the hero for the Blues in an entertaining 2-2 draw. The German scored both of Chelsea’s goals with headers in the second half.

The first came just after the restart and gave Frank Lampard’s men a valuable lead, however Leicester fought back with goals from Harvey Barnes and Ben Chilwell.

But Rudiger struck again in 71st minute to place Mason Mount’s freekick past Kasper Schmeichel in the Leicester goal to make it 2-2.

The draw means that the Blues failed to close the eight point gap between themselves and the Foxes in third place.

So, was there any injury problems that arose from the game?

Take a look at the latest from the treatment room at Cobham.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is stepping up his recovery from injury.

Images emerged of the midfielder taking part in training with the first-team squad ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie with the Tigers.

Posting on their Twitter account, the Blues shared a picture of the England international taking part in the session.

It is unknown if Loftus-Cheek will be available to make the squad for the game against the Foxes as Chelsea are unlikely to rush the player back after so long on the sidelines.

Unsurprisingly, he wasn’t named in the squad for the FA Cup clash, or the matchday squad against Leicester.

He made 40 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists.
