Chelsea ‘have strong interest’ in Jadon Sancho transfer despite ridiculous price tag

Chelsea retain a strong interest in Jadon Sancho and will make him a top target in the summer.

They will not be alone, though, with a host of top European countries bidding for the Borussia Dortmund ace’s services.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris St-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the Englishman.

However, Chelsea are confident that they can gatecrash the party and swoop in for the 19-year-old.

The youngster is a boyhood Blues fan, grew up in Camberwell, London and is friends with a number of Chelsea players.

Finishing in the top four of the Premier League obviously remains a priority to further put forward a case that Stamford Bridge could be his new home.

But Dortmund will not entertain any offers for Sancho for less than £100m.

And that is before Euro 2020, where the teenager’s price could soar if he does well with England.

The Evening Standard report that this has not put off Chelsea, who have a strong interest in the forward.

The report goes on to state that the club will grant Frank Lampard a £150m transfer kitty in the summer.
