Chelsea hero Pat Nevin explains how Blues can finish in Premier League top four

Chelsea hero Pat Nevin has explained how Frank Lampard’s side can keep hold of fourth place in the Premier League.

The Blues are currently four points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham though many see Spurs as favourites to finish in the Champions League spots.

It comes after a transfer window in which Chelsea did not strengthen, despite having had their transfer ban halved and being available to spend.

“The second thing is related to the first. Last season Liverpool’s two full-backs assisted in 30 goals! That is an incredible number and we have to get our numbers up in that area.

“If we can do that, then we have a great chance of staying in the top four.

“And that would be well ahead of all expectations at the start of the season.”
