The cut-price summer transfer targets to save Chelsea and Roman Abramovich millions

Chelsea fans were left stunned when the Blues failed to sign any new players in the January transfer window.

The club worked hard to get the transfer ban overturned in time for the window, however failed to make any moves in the market.

It means Chelsea will have some more money to spend in the summer as they will aim to make a marquee signing.

However, they might also look to bring in some players on a slightly cheaper deal to help bolster the squad.

When clubs get relegated, then there are always some cut-price deals which can be found with some of their better players.

So who are the players in the summer who might be available on cheaper deals?

Declan Rice

Having come through the Chelsea ranks, the West Ham midfielder was let go from the Blues when he was 14 and switched to east London.

The 21-year-old has been a key member of the Hammers in recent seasons and has become an England international.

However, the Hammers are really fighting relegation and that could open up the market to Rice leaving the London Stadium.
