Sky Sports always manage to get some decent pundits on, and when it comes to Chelsea, Mario Melchiot is someone they regularly wheel out who actually speaks some sense.
Most people have seen Kepa’s dropping at the weekend as a “warning” from Frank Lampard, the proverbial rocket up the backside. But Melchiot sees it differently.
In a video from Sky Sports news posted on their website, he says that Willy “Caballero can become Chelsea’s number one”, and that Kepa may not be returning as soon as some expect.
We will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out if he’s right, but it does make some sense. Why drop someone and then bring them back right away?

“I don’t want to say that Kepa is not a good goalkeeper but you don’t want your goalkeeper to be a liability.”
Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot says Kepa Arrizabalaga may find it tough to regain his place at Chelsea.
