The missing piece to Chelsea’s squad who Marina Granovskaia must sign for Frank Lampard

There was no doubt a massive disappointment among Chelsea fans when the club failed to make any signings in January.

Frank Lampard wanted a player who was going to add goals to the Blues towards the end of the campaign to secure a top four Premier League campaign.

However, Lampard didn’t get his wish, while he also wasn’t given any other player to help bolster the squad for the rest of the season.

That will not be the case in the summer and it is looking more likely that the Blues will make a marquee signing in order to appease their boss and the supporters.

While the Blues were interested in the England international this winter, there was never the possibility of getting him to west London right now.

That could change in the summer, while Liverpool and Manchester United are also chasing the former Man City product.

“He is a phenomenon and is now producing top performances. And he rarely takes a break on the pitch, helping the team with their defensive work. He is hard-working and gets the greatest of respect from me.”
