Chelsea will be offered Isco as part of the deal to sign N’Golo Kante, according to the Daily Express today.
We’ve been linked with the attacking midfielder for almost a decade now, but have never really looked close to signing him. The idea he’s going to be used as a makeweight from Kante is pretty outlandish too.
We can’t see ourselves selling the France midfielder this summer, and even if we do, we think it’s unlikely a 27 year old inconsistent creator is what we need in return.
This feels more like one of those evergreen ideas that just gets dug up in an international break, or this so called “winter” break that we’re having now.
We can certainly see Isco being shopped around this summer, and there’s no doubt he will be offered to us, but there still seem to be a whole host of more likely landing spots for him ahead of Stamford Bridge.
