Pass-map reveals why Mason Mount is so isolated » Chelsea News

Statistics can’t tell you everything, but they can reveal some interesting things you might not have noticed just with your eyes.

Take Chelsea’s formation against Leicester. Notice how Mason Mount’s average position is actually ahead of Tammy Abraham. That just goes to show how high up the pitch his pressing takes him, and also reveals that considering him one of the midfield 3 is almost a stretch. He barely passes to them or gets the ball off them, and is positioned pretty far from them too.
