Chelsea have really struggled with inconsistency this season, and the Blues need to sort their issues out quickly, with three massive games coming up.
Man U, Tottenham and Bayern Munich are all on the horizon, and the Blues have their work cut out turning the season round.
Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta has been speaking to the official Chelsea site about the team’s progress, and he picked out one key thing they need to change – their home form.
They’ve dropped too many points at home this season, and Azpi says that what will really make the difference is being able to turn Stamford Bridge back into a fortress again:
“We haven’t made Stamford Bridge as solid as we would like this year. This is the best time to recover this solidity, with three big games in a row at home where we can show we are ready and able to make Stamford Bridge a tough place to come,” the former Osasuna man said.
“With the fans we have had some disappointments at home altogether. When these three opportunities come we have to take them one by one, and hopefully we can build up on this. It’s key for the success of the season,” he went on.
He’s not wrong. The team have really struggled to break teams down when playing at home. This next run at the Bridge, against some seriously tough opposition, will be make or break for the success of the season.
Two wins would be superb, three would be transformative.
We have faith.
