Robbie Savage tips Liverpool to smash several more Premier League records this season

Liverpool have been tipped to smash Manchester City’s record points haul in the Premier League this season, and by a margin.

The Reds are in the midst of an astonishing run that has placed them 22 points ahead of current champions City.

They have won 24 of their 25 Premier League games so far, dropping only two points, and are all but certain to win a first league title in 30 years.

Stretching back into last season they are 42 league games unbeaten and are also on course to break Arsenal’s record of 49 games, a feat achieved by the Invincibles team under Arsene Wenger.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are leaving the rest of the Premier League in their wake with top four spots the only prize left for England’s other big hitters.

Robbie Savage has given his verdict on how the league will end up by predicting the top 10 and how many points they will accumulate.

“The crystal ball’s mist has cleared, the computer programme has been run… and Liverpool will be crowned the New Invincibles in May,” he told the Daily Mirror .

“As an exercise in fortune-telling, I sat down this week and worked out how the Premier League’s top 10 will look at the end of the season if my forecasts for their remaining games are all accurate.
