What Chelsea will be losing if Willian completes free transfer to Barcelona this summer

Willian’s future at Chelsea has been called into question once again.

The Brazil international, who is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer, has been linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona.

According to Sky Sports, Barcelona were preparing a late bid of £20m for Willian in order to test Chelsea’s resolve during the January transfer window but nothing materialised.

This latest setback has reportedly not deterred the La Liga giants with Marca – via the Daily Mail – claiming that Willian will make the move to the Camp Nou on a free transfer this summer.

It still remains to be seen as to what happens with Willian, but this scenario would leave the west London outfit with a massive hole to fill.

Should Willian leave the Blues at the end of the season then the squad will lose the nutmeg king.

As spotted in the ‘Top 10 Classic Nutmegs From Chelsea Training’ video uploaded to the club’s official YouTube account, Willian features twice as he humilates Fikayo Tomori and Billy Gilmour.

And this doesn’t even include the 31-year-old gaining revenge on Tammy Abraham earlier in the season by putting the ball through his legs.

One player in the squad who could claim this title is Ross Barkley as he even took the number one spot in the countdown for his outrageous nutmeg on Marcos Alonso.

Prior to the January transfer window opening, Willian said that he hoped to have good news regarding his Chelsea future “soon”.

“I have stated several times my wish is to stay at Chelsea,” he told Yahoo Sport. “I like the club very much, I feel very welcomed here, as well as my family, and we love living in London.

“However, I’m in the middle of the season and I try not to think about it so as not to lose focus on the field. My agent and the club are talking and I hope we can have some good news…
