Chelsea returned to training this week after finishing their holidays and are getting ready for a huge Premier League clash with Manchester United on Monday.

The Blues then have to take on Tottenham Hotspur the following weekend and it is going to be a real battle to stay inside the Champions League places.

Frank Lampard’s side have had some mixed performances over the course of the campaign, with some of the players not stepping up to the level they need to be.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

There has been a lot of talk about the Spaniard this season and his performances have been below par, with a defence that hasn’t really helped him out too much.

The 25-year-old was then dropped for the last Premier League match against Leicester City, with Willy Caballero being put between the sticks by Lampard.

The goalkeeper is not just playing for a spot in Chelsea’s team, but also a place in Spain’s Euro 2020 starting XI, so he drastically needs his place back and for his performances to improve.

Marcos Alonso

The Spaniard was the left wing-back of choice under Antonio Conte, but towards the end of last season and during this campaign he has lost his place in the side.

Alonso has three years still left to run on his contract, however his time could be away from Chelsea and he will be hoping to impress when he gets the chance.
