Chelsea are chasing 19 year old Orkun Kokcu of Feyenoord, according to reports in the Turkish press via Milliyet.
The Dutch born attacker, now a Turkish youth international, has worked his way up through the famed Feyenoord youth academy and is now a regular for the first team.
He made 11 starts last season, and already has 18 this campaign. Despite still being a teenager he’s showing himself more than ready for top level football, and he’s picking up regular goals and assists in the Eredivisie. He’s also been able to play in the Europa League too this season.
At the moment, we’ve seen nothing very concrete to make us believe there’s a huge amount in this rumour. It seems like Chelsea are just being thrown into the mix to spice up the rumours, without any real evidence we’re interested.
On the other hand, he’s clearly a brilliant talent, and our scouts will be more than aware of any progress he’s making. We certainly won’t be letting him go to Arsenal without a fight if indeed we are keen.
