Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea tipped to battle for Nathan Ake Bournemouth transfer

Arsenal will join the battle for Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Ake, it’s claimed.

The Cherries are fighting for Premier League survival and lost 2-1 to Sheffield United on Sunday.

Eddie Howe’s outfit sit 16th – but are just two points ahead of West Ham.

If relegation ensues, an exodus is expected as they attempt to balance the books.

Ake looks set to be a man in demand following an impressive three-year stay on the south coast.

Reports earlier this week claimed Tottenham are circling as they consider long-term replacements for Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

Ex-Leeds forward Noel Whelan has suggested Arsenal are now battling with their Premier League rivals to secure his services.

“There’s no doubt they need to freshen it up [at the back],” he told Football Insider .

“He’s been linked with moves back to Chelsea, he’s been looked at by Arsenal. There’s a lot of clubs looking at Nathan Ake.
