Man United predicted line up vs Chelsea: Odion Ighalo to make debut as Bruno Fernandes starts

Chelsea face Manchester United next Monday night, in what is a pivotal game in the race for Champions League qualification.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sit eighth in the Premier League table, six points behind Chelsea, but can cut the gap to three with a victory in west London.

United will want to improve on their excellent record against the Blues, having already beaten Frank Lampard’s side twice in all competitions this season.

But after dropping points against Burnley and Wolves before the mid-season break, the Red Devils know there is no room for error.

The visitors will be boosted by January signing Odion Ighalo, who is set to be included in the squad to face Chelsea.

Ighalo missed United’s warm-weather training camp due to travel restriction concerns, but Solskjaer said the former Watford striker will be involved, with the forward likely to make his debut off the bench.

“Yeah, he is going to travel with us,” the United manager told the official club website.

“We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp.

“We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”

Fellow new arrival Bruno Fernandes is also set to keep his place in the team, having already made his full debut in the goalless draw against Wolves.

The Portugal midfielder moved to Old Trafford last month in a deal worth £47million, and started alongside Fred and Andreas Pereira in the clash against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Fernandes could be joined in the team by Scott McTominay, after the Scotland international returned to full training over the break.

The game is likely to come too soon for Paul Pogba, however, despite the World Cup winner’s recent return to the gym.
