Hakim Ziyech plans to derail Arsenal and Man United’s season ahead of Chelsea transfer

Hakim Ziyech is closing in on a move to Chelsea, with reports claiming that the Blues have agreed a fee and personal terms with the player.

The arrival of the Ajax midfielder will mark Frank Lampard’s first signing as Chelsea head coach, and fulfils his desire for attacking reinforcements after the Blues were unable to land any targets in January.

Ziyech was one of the names that Lampard was strongly keen on, and despite competition from across Europe, Chelsea are set to win the race for his signature.

According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, a €45millon (£38m) deal has been agreed between the clubs, and a deal is imminent.

But with three months of the season remaining, the report also states that Ziyech is set on finishing his Ajax career with a flourish and is eager to help the club win every trophy possible before he leaves for west London.

The Eredivisie champions currently sit top of the table with a three point advantage over AZ Alkmaar, whilst Erik ten Hag’s side are still in the KNVB Cup and the Europa League.

Chelsea, incidentally, ensured that the Dutch side dropped into the Europa League after finishing above them in the Champions League group stage along with Valencia.
