Chelsea fans question how Blues will score against Man Utd as Christian Pulisic is ruled out

Chelsea fans were left worrying over their goalscoring options for the upcoming clash against Manchester United after it was confirmed Christian Pulisic would not be fit for the match.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has been sidelined since New Year’s Day with an adductor injury sustained in training, but there was hope he would be ready to face the Red Devils after the winter break.

But Blues boss Frank Lampard told the media on Friday that Pulisic would not play a part in Monday night’s Premier League clash, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek also ruled out and Tammy Abraham to be assessed.

He said: “Christian Pulisic won’t be fit, he only trained with the U23s today. Ruben won’t be fit for this game. Tammy is still feeling the effects, to be honest. Trained today, but to be assessed.”

Fans were left worried by the news due to Chelsea’s lack of depth in the attacking areas, with Michy Batshuayi and Jorginho (both six goals) the next highest-scoring players available for selection should Abraham be ruled out.
