Chelsea are preparing for the visit of Manchester United on Monday night, but have been handed a boost by the news that Hakim Ziyech will join in the summer.
The Blues announced the deal on Thursday, with a fee of £33.4million agreed for the Ajax midfielder.
Ziyech will add depth to Chelsea’s attacking options next season, but the west London side are still in the market for further additions.
And Frank Lampard has been handed another boost in the race to secure Champions League football, with UEFA taking the huge decision to band Manchester City from European competitions for two years.

Manchester City banned
Manchester City have been banned from European competition for the next two seasons following “serious breaches” of Financial Fair Play Regulations.

The reigning Premier League champions have also been fined €30million (£25m) as a result.
However, the ban is subject to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
As expected, the news has not gone down well at the Etihad Stadium and the club has claimed that they are “disappointed but not surprised” by the announcement.
