One of the biggest talking points from the last set of games was Frank Lampard’s decision to drop his world record signing goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for Willy Caballero.
On ESPN this week they discussed the decision, with Shaka Hislop saying that it was all just supposed to be a warning shot to Kepa.
Craig Burley disagreed (surprise surprise), saying, that it was all a message to the board from Frank, saying “I want another goalkeeper” this summer. We can see the logic in both theories – in fact there’s a good chance they’re both right.
