Chelsea are back in Premier League action when they take on top-four rivals Manchester United on Monday evening in a replay of the season’s opening Premier League fixture.

The Blues will be looking to get revenge after a 4-0 opening day defeat in the Premier League and being knocked out of the League Cup by United so far this season.

There is just six points separating the Blues in fourth and ninth place Man United in the Premier League table, as the race for European football took another twist with Manchester City’s ban from UEFA competitions.

Should that ban be upheld on appeal, then it means that finishing in fifth will result in Champions League football next season in what could be a major boost to both teams’ hopes this season.

Images emerged of the midfielder taking part in training with the first-team squad ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie against Hull.
