Chelsea were perhaps a shade unfortunate to have lost the game against Manchester United..
The Blues lost N’Golo Kante to injury in the first half before Harry Maguire tangled with Michy Batshuayi – leading to the England international appearing to kick out at the Chelsea striker.
Referee Anthony Taylor was not in a position to see the incident, which took place right in front of the Chelsea bench, and so the decision went to VAR.
However, no red card came for the defender, despite him making contact with Batshuayi after being nudged to the ground.

United went on to take the lead through Anthony Martial before half-time, and in the second half Maguire found himself on the scoresheet, heading home from a Bruno Fernandes corner.
And it’s something that the defender knew would happen.
Maguire’s younger brother Laurence – a footballer who currently plays for Chesterfield – revealed on Twitter that Maguire knew he would score at Stamford Bridge, even predicting how it would come about.
In the screenshot of a conversation with his brother, the England centre-back stated: “Yes I’m going to score around back tonight. Watch.”
He even stated it would come from an inswinging corner.
Chelsea fought to get back into the game following Maguire’s goal, with Kurt Zouma and Olivier Giroud both finding the back of the net – only for VAR to rule out both goals.
On Zouma’s effort, Cesar Azpilicueta was adjudged to have pushed Brandon Williams, with VAR awarding United a free-kick.
And Giroud was just offside as he headed home at the near post from a cross.
The result leaves Chelsea one point clear of Tottenham in the race for fourth place, with Sheffield United another point back and Man United another point back in seventh.
