Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has explained where the Red Devils can improve despite victory over Chelsea.
The new signing picked up his first assist on Monday as his corner was met by Harry Maguire, who doubled United’s lead after Anthony Martial put the visitors in front.
United were perhaps fortunate to keep a clean sheet at Stamford Bridge with VAR ruling out two goals for Chelsea.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side also ended the match with just 39 per cent possession with the hosts dominating the ball.
And Fernandes, who signed in January from Sporting Lisbon, wants his new team to be better on the ball in future.
“I’m really happy. It’s a difficult game against Chelsea,” Fernandes said.
“They are a great team and we needed to win to keep fourth [place in reach].
“I think we can do much better with the ball but it was a good game against a good team. They are really good with the ball but we played our game and won.
