Chelsea news: Frank Lampard on Harry Maguire’s VAR decision, N’Golo Kante injury update

Chelsea were in action last night, but it was not an ideal result for Frank Lampard’s side.

Manchester United were the visitors at Stamford Bridge, and came away with a 2-0 victory.

Goals from Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire sealed the win, but United got the rub of the green when it came to some of the decisions.

Maguire was lucky to remain on the field when appearing to kick out at Michy Batshuayi, but did not pick up a red card.

Meanwhile, two goals were chalked off for Lampard’s side, leaving the boss frustrated after the match.

N’Golo Kante’s injury

Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante leaves the game early because of a leg injury.

Kante left the field early with a muscle problem, and Lampard confirmed in his post match press conference that it does not look good for the midfielder.

With huge games against Spurs and Bayern Munich in the next eight days, this could scarcely have come at a worse time for the Blues.
