Frank Lampard refuses to say whether he regrets Dries Mertens transfer failure » Chelsea News

Chelsea are rocking after a really damaging defeat to Manchester United last night, and Frank Lampard was clearly gutted in his press conference afterwards.

He didn’t want to complain too much about the VAR decisions that cost his side, and when asked about whether he regretted the actions of his club in the window, specifically their failure to sign Dries Mertens, he said he didn’t want to talk about that either.

As he pointed out, that’s in the past now and can’t affect what happens now. That’s a very reasonable stance, given it would provide him with some pretty solid excuses.
