Chelsea players ratings: Ross Barkley and Antonio Rudiger dire in Bayern Munich defeat

Willy Caballero

Was always going to be busy and he had an excellent first half. Made a good save from Thomas Muller, and then was really quick off his line on several occasions. The big moments were blocking Robert Lewandowski’s efforts a couple of times.

Absolutely nothing he could do about all three of the goals. Nothing against his performance at all and he was one of the better players for the Blues. 7

Cesar Azpilicueta

A difficult first half with Bayern really having a lot of joy down his flank. Serge Gnabry made life difficult and Azpilicueta was sloppy in possession at times.

Things didn’t get much better in the second half. Bayern got behind him and exploited the space, scoring twice inside three minutes. Beaten for the header in the second goal. 3

Way too deep for the opening goal, playing Lewandowski onside for the assist. Really didn’t have a grip on the game at all at the back. 3
