Being a proud Manchester United fan is the best way to get a match on Tinder, according to new research from Livefootballtickets.com.
Valentine’s Day might have been and gone, but it’s been proven that dating app use increases in February.
That means that more guys and girls are swiping left or right on the world’s most popular dating app – Tinder.
So what’s the best way to increase your matches, put in which football team you support? You wouldn’t have thought so.
But research from a ticket re-selling website suggests otherwise, but only if you pick the right club to boast about.
Livefootballtickets.com set up a 20 accounts for both a male and a female, changing only the team they support in their bio, and swiped right for 250 people over the course of three days.
And the results showed it can have both brilliant and detrimental affects to your luck with the opposite sex.
For men, showing you’re a Manchester United fans appears to be your best bet, with those supporters landing 183 matches.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City round off the top four with 170, 166 and 159 respectively, all of which will see you get more matches than if you hadn’t mentioned a side.

At the other end of the table Watford, Norwich and Southampton face the drop in the bottom three when it comes to finding matches, while saying you support Chelsea will also reduce your chances of finding a partner according to Tinder, with Blues fans only managing to get 125 matches.
The old school ‘top four’ is clearly the way to go if you’re female though, with United and Arsenal clearly proving to be a big hit with the opposite sex, while Chelsea and Liverpool also sent pulses racing this time.
Red Devils fans managed to get 212 matches, 57 more than a profile…
