Frank Lampard has been told he will need up to five players in the summer at Chelsea .
And that includes someone to alleviate the pressure on Tammy Abraham up front.
The Blues were taught a lesson in the Champions League from Bayern Munich, who disposed of their opponents with ease at Stamford Bridge.
Serge Gnabry scored twice while Robert Lewandowski netted a third in a 3-0 victory to all but end Chelsea’s European run.
The west London outfit have had an inconsistent season so far but have a number of youngsters getting to grips with top-tier football.
However, they remain fourth in the Premier League and could finish next season in the Champions League.
But in the summer, they will need strengthening.
That is according to BT Sport pundits Owen Hargreaves and Rio Ferdinand, who insisted a fair amount of cash might need to be splashed.

And Ferdinand insisted that Lampard, though maneuvering his own style of play, may need a new forward.
He said: “He is going to have to implement his own philosophy.

“But he’s also going to have to dip into that transfer market and make some waves with the opportunity he has in the next window.
“Upfront (is where he most needs to add) – Tammy Abraham does score but he’s young and needs someone to come and help with that responsibility.”
Meanwhile, Lampard insisted that they were dealt a cruel lesson from Bayern.
