Chelsea in ‘transfer battle’ with Juventus for Houssem Aouar and Sandro Tonali

Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a €50m (£43m) move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and have lined up Brescia teenager Sandro Tonali as a back-up option.

The duo are also said to be of interest to Juventus as well after enjoying impressive seasons at their respective club sides.

Aouar played a key role in Lyon’s 1-0 win over Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, assisting Lucas Tousart’s winner.

Meanwhile, Tonali has been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Liverpool after bursting onto the scene as a 17-year-old while Brescia were in Serie B.
