Chelsea player ratings: Marcos Alonso rescues point by Fikayo Tomori poor at Bournemouth

Willy Caballero

Was called into action on a couple of occasions early on and he did really well to keep himself big and make the saves. Distribution was good as well.

Could have done better for the opening Bournemouth goal, with the header strong but at him. Couldn’t do much about the second one. 6

Cesar Azpilicueta

Really struggled early on, with Josh King having some joy down that flank. However, he managed to get a grip on proceedings and covered well. Some of his passing was sloppy.

Again defensively got caught out in the second half and struggled to get a hold of things. Moved into a centre-back role and did well at times to cover. 4

Andreas Christensen

Really strong in the first half, doing well against Callum Wilson and putting his body on the line. Showed some good pace to cover and kept the passing simple.

The Blues were all over the back in the second half for the two Bournemouth goals. Finally composed himself and looked solid again. 5

Fikayo Tomori

First Premier League performance since December and it showed early. Really sloppy and sluggish and got caught out a couple of times to give Bournemouth a chance. However, looked more comfortable when he got into the pace of the match.

Struggled a lot in the second half as well. Went completely walk about for the second goal. Not a great return. 3

Reece James

Saw a lot of the ball in the first half. Some of his crossing wasn’t at his best, but he was given enough chances and he made it count with the cross in for the Alonso goal. Defensively caught out a couple of times, but got stronger as the match went on.

The second half he was a little exposed at times in the wing-back role. Looked more comfortable in the right-back role. 6

Mateo Kovacic

Slow early in the match, but then started to get his grip on it like he has so…
