Hello, and welcome to football.london’s live coverage of Frank Lampard’s press conference following the Premier League clash between Bournemouth and Chelsea at the Vitality Stadium.
Lampard sprang a bit of a surprise with his team selection, with Fikayo Tomori brought in to replace Antonio Rudiger in the starting line up, while Pedro started in attack as Ross Barkley dropped to the bench.
Willy Caballero kept his place in goal, while Olivier Giroud continued up front in Tammy Abraham’s absence.
The Blues took the lead in the first half after Giroud’s flicked effort rebounded off the bar and was hit home by Marcos Alonso.
But two goals in four second-half minutes left Lampard’s team reeling as the hosts took the lead, with Jefferson Lerma and Josh King grabbing goals.
With five minutes of normal time remaining, Alonso was the hero again, converting another rebound after Pedro’s effort was saved for his third goal in two Premier League games.
