Chelsea could find life difficult when they visit Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.
That is the view of Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas, who has tipped the Blues to drop more points at the Vitality Stadium.
Frank Lampard ‘s side were taught a footballing lesson in midweek as Bayern Munich ran out 3-0 winners at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League last 16 first leg.
While it was always going to be a tough assignment to navigate their way past the German champions the game highlighted the work that is still needing to take place at the club.
Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways at Bournemouth on Saturday
Lampard has had a good first season in charge but will want to finish the season on a high after several mediocre performances recently.
The Blues remain on course to finish in the top four of the Premier League and are still in the FA Cup.
But Nicholas reckons the struggling Cherries could steal a point from the visitors on the south coast on Saturday.
“This is another good test for Chelsea, who were shown up against Bayern Munich,” he told Sky Sports .
Frank Lampard admitted Chelsea were not good enough against Bayern Munich
“Bournemouth know what it means, and what they need to do to survive. I thought they were treated harshly at Burnley. The footballing network does not have a sympathy button. They folded when decisions went against them, which in a way was understandable.
“Chelsea are effective on the counter-attack, but their home form is terrible. There is an awkwardness with Chelsea only hanging three points above Manchester United, with the others honing in too. Bournemouth are going to go all out for this.
“I feel they will and have to get something from this, with Chelsea’s Champions League tie taking quite a bit out of them.”
