Chelsea fans have taken to social media to mock Manchester United after David De Gea’s early mistake against Everton.
The Spanish goalkeeper had the ball at his feet as he was closed down by Toffees’ striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. De Gea’s kick went straight into the forward and into the back of the net to give the home side a 1-0 lead just three minutes into the game.
The mistake could be prove to be costly in the race to finish in the Champions League positions at the end of the season. Should Everton take the three points, they will close the gap between them and the Red Devils to just two points.
