Jurgen Klopp has delivered an injury update on several Liverpool players ahead of Tuesday night’s FA Cup tie against Chelsea.
The Reds go into the game on the back of a 3-0 loss against Watford at the weekend – their first Premier League defeat of the season and second on the spin away from home across all competitions.
A number of players were missing from the matchday squad at Vicarage Road.

Most notably captain Jordan Henderson, vice-captain James Milner, Naby Keita, Nathaniel Clyne, Xherdan Shaqiri and Joe Gomez was not risked as Dejan Lovren got a rare start at centre-back.
The good news for Reds supporters is that Klopp is set to welcome back Gomez and Milner.
However, Keita, Henderson, Clyne and Shaqiri remain on the sidelines and won’t be making the trip down to the capital.
Speaking ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge, Klopp revealed the latest Liverpool injury news.
“No new injury problems,” he said, as per the Liverpool Echo. “Milly is back, Joe too.
“The others, no.”
The other big Liverpool news ahead of the cup tie is that of Neil Critchley’s departure and subsequent appointment at League One side Blackpool.
The former Reds U23 coach took charge of the fourth round replay against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield last month and some fans have joked that he was set for another appearance in the dugout at the Bridge.
And Klopp has had his say on Critchley’s exit.
“Congratulations to Blackpool and to Neil! It’s a great thing, a nice opportunity and challenge for him. He wanted to take it, he asked and we said ‘yes of course’. It shows it’s possible you can make your way as a youth coach.
We want to have the best people in every department including coaching, and we have requests from other clubs. Hopefully everything will go well for him.
