Jurgen Klopp drops Liverpool team news hint ahead of Chelsea clash as he confirms one absentee

Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Liverpool will play a strong side to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup fifth round.

In the past two rounds against Everton and Shrewsbury Town, Liverpool have named largely youthful sides, with the Reds involved in other competitions, including the Club World Championship, Premier League and Champions League.

But Klopp has said that he will field a side to win the game against Chelsea, with the Reds likely to play a more experienced line up against the Blues.

Klopp has, however, suggested that some younger players may still be involved in the squad for the game, with Ki-Jana Hoever and Neco Williams not travelling with Liverpool’s U19 side for a UEFA Youth League game against Benfica tomorrow.

Both players have featured in previous rounds of the FA Cup, and Klopp has hinted that they could be involved tomorrow, alongside Curtis Jones.

However, former Fulham teenager Harvey Elliott will not feature against Chelsea, with Klopp confirming that he is involved with the U19 side against Benfica.

Speaking about the clash with Chelsea, he said: “We want to go through, that is the plan. Hopefully that is what everyone will see.

“It’s not about loyalty. These are our boys, they will be involved in the celebrations.
