Liverpool fans have hit back at Jurgen Klopp after the Reds boss stuck up for Dejan Lovren following his poor display in the defeat at Watford.
The Reds fell to their first loss of the season at Vicarage Road and with that their dreams of going the campaign unbeaten ended.
Lovren was selected ahead of Joel Matip and played all 90 minutes of the defeat. The Croatian, who was making his 14th appearance of the season, delivered a below par performance as his side shipped three goals.
The centre-back received a lot of criticism for his performance, especially when Matip has played well when selected.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s FA Cup tie with Chelsea, Klopp defended Lovren with a message for his critics.
He said: “If anybody gave Dejan Lovren the blame for our defeat, then I can’t help them.”
This, however, didn’t sit too well with Liverpool fans.

One responded: “Well I can help Klopp if he can’t see Lovren was 100% at fault.”
Another replied: “If Klopp can’t admit that he was wrong in his team selection by picking Lovren especially when Gomez wasn’t injured as he later explained then he is also part of the problem.”
A separate fan tweeted: “This is sickness man. You’re right. Lovren is not to be blamed. You are the one to be blamed since you’re picking him ahead of Matip.”
Liverpool will have a chance to move on from the humiliating defeat when they travel to Stamford Bridge. A place in the quarter-finals is at stake.
