Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour earned comparisons to Barcelona legend Xavi for his performance against Liverpool.
The 18-year-old played a big role in the Blues’ 2-0 win over Premier League leaders Liverpool in the FA Cup fifth round.
It was his first start for the London side, having made five previous appearances from the bench.
And statistics from the Scot’s first half against the Reds show how he grabbed the opportunity to impress.
In 45 minutes of play, Gilmour made 32 touches and hit a pass accuracy of 84.6 per cent.
His dribble attempt success hit 100 per cent as well as landing some clearances.
It saw the 18-year-old hit second on Twitter’ trending list as the Blues faithful heaped praise on the youngster.
“We produced a world class player,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “Billy Gilmour – remember the name.”
While a third compared him to a footballing legend.
“When did Chelsea sign Xavi,” they said.
The Spaniard made more than 700 appearances over 17 seasons for the Spanish giants.

And his creativity in midfield helped them to eight La Liga honours and four Champions Leagues.
A fourth supporter added: “My God, Gilmour is the refined version of Xavi.
With a fifth writing: “Xavi has posters of Billy Gilmour on his wall.”
The Scot started his career with Rangers, joining their youth academy in 2009.
But he was picked up by the Blues three years ago after a run of appearances for the national team.
