Kepa Arrizabalaga
Back in the starting XI and his best opening 45 minutes he has had so far. Some brilliant saves, and made three quick stops in the space of a matter of seconds which were fantastic.
What was also impressive was his willingness to come out and punch and control the box when he needed to. 9
Cesar Azpilicueta
Back on his natural right, but was given a bit of a tough time by Divock Origi. Did well, though, as the game went on and got more of a grip on the contest.
Really solid in the second half and did the job excellently to keep Liverpool quiet on that flank. Put in a superb shift throughout the 90 minutes. 7

Antonio Rudiger
Really shaky start when he gave the ball away early. Also, Sadio Mane did well against him and at times it was just too easy for him to get past the German.
A lot more solid in the second half. Looked more comfortable and the connection with Zouma was a lot better. Weren’t really caused too many problems. 7
Kurt Zouma
Another who struggled early on, with the gap between the two centre-backs too far at times. However, one excellent bit of cover when he closed down Mane who looked like he was getting forward.
So much better in the second half, though. Positioning was much better, heading well and being in the right place to make decent blocks. 8

Into a left-back role and defended pretty well at times. Meant he couldn’t get forward quite as much, but was pretty solid over the first half.
Provided a good outlet again in the second half, but defensively he id his job to see out the game and keep Liverpool quiet. 7
Billy Gilmour
A big night for the youngster and the 18-year-old was utterly superb in the first half. Composed in tight areas, putting tackles in, moving the play on and tracking back. An excellent 45 minutes.
Impressive…
