Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is confident that his side will put up an admirable fight against Liverpool tonight in the FA Cup fifth round.
The Reds visit Stamford Bridge off the back of their first Premier League defeat all season, but are still favourites to progress this evening.
However, after two extremely narrow defeats, Lampard says his side are ready to once again do battle with the European and soon-to-be English champions.
“The team I put out should give everything to compete with Liverpool, as we have done twice this season,” Lampard said. “We’ve competed very well against them and were probably unfortunate to lose on both occasions.

“So we have to approach it with the same spirit. We want to win it [the FA Cup] but winning something is usually a phrase that has gone out of the Premier League unless you are Manchester City or Liverpool, pretty much, in the last couple of years.
“They have made so many strides and gone out on their own slightly so we have to understand that the landscape has changed and try to bridge the gap.”
Lampard also hinted that axed goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could be in line to return after a five-match absence in place of usual back up Willy Caballero.

The Blues boss said: “He’s been professional, as expected. He’s trained well and he’s kept his head down, supported the team.
“I say the same every week because I get asked this every week, but he’s been good.”
