The 6 academy wonderkids on Chelsea’s production line that fans must watch out for next season

Chelsea did not sign a single player during the January transfer window, but have already agreed a £33.4m deal with Ajax to sign Hakim Ziyech in the summer.

That deal aside, a lack of business in the winter means the Blues will have quite a bit of money to spend as they look to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table next season.

The Blues will be looking add to the signing of Ziyech, with the likes of Jadon Sancho or Timo Werner on their list to try to entice to Stamford Bridge as another marquee addition.

But this season, Frank Lampard has already given a lot of chances to players who have come through the academy or have been out on loan.

So who are the next players on the Chelsea production line that fans must watch out for? takes a look.

Conor Gallagher

Out of all the loanees this season, Conor Gallagher has been the most impressive during his time at Charlton Athletic and Swansea City.

The 20-year-old is aiming for Championship promotion this season with the Swans and has proved himself as a good goalscoring midfielder.

Lampard has been looking for more goals from his players in the final third, and Gallagher as a real chance to be a decent box-to-box player for the Blues.

He will get his chance during pre-season and hope to make an impression for next season.
