Speaking of the Reds, manager Jurgen Klopp delivered some mixed injury news during his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon.
The good news is that Joe Gomez and James Milner are available once again.
“No new ones [injuries], I think. Joe and Millie are back,” Klopp told reporters . “The others aren’t.”
This means there are three senior Liverpool players who will miss tonight’s FA Cup tie against the Blues.
This list includes captain Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita.
The latter is suffering with a hip problem which isn’t too serious, but serious enough to rule the Guinea international out of the trip to the capital.
“[It is] a little, little, little bit but enough with his hip. I can’t really say more, that’s the only information I got from the medical department,” Klopp added. “[He] is not ready [but] could be ready after that game, but for that game not. It’s not serious but obviously serious enough.”
As for the Blues, Lampard has revealed that he will be without four key players and Andreas Christensen is a doubt.
