Chelsea are through to the FA Cup quarter-final after recording a 2-0 win over Premier League leaders Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Goals from Willian and Ross Barkley either side of half time saw the Blues inflict the third defeat in four games in all competitions on Jurgen Klopp’s men, after they lost their first Premier League match of the season at the weekend.
Billy Gilmour was named in the starting eleven for the game to make just his sixth first team appearance and his third start for the Blues. The 18-year-old is highly rated at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the game Frank Lampard explained his decision to include the teenager in the lineup.

“Billy is playing because he deserves to play because of how he’s trained and played. It’s a comfortable choice,” he told the BBC.
“It’s a big game for Billy and it’s a big test. He has character and personality. I believe he can handle it with his quality. I’m very happy with Billy.”
The midfielder took his chance with both hands, with fans taking to social media to show their delight at his performance vs the Reds.
And it wasn’t just fans who were impressed with his performance, with pundits also praising the youngster.
“Kepa has been in top form and proven a point to his manager but the star of the show has been Billy Gilmour, he has bossed it,” Alan Shearer told the BBC at half-time.
“Whatever he has been asked to do, whether it’s protecting that back four or spraying passes around, he has been absolutely magnificent.”
Chelsea will find out their quarter-final opponents when the draw takes place on Wednesday night.
