Chelsea are expected to have a big summer coming up in 2020, after two windows out of the market.
A real statement of intent was made when the transfer of Hakim Ziyech for this summer was announced last month, and if the latest reports in SportWitness are to be believed, it’s not going to end there.
They translated reports from Italy that say we’re in for Nicolo Rovella of Genoa. Still only 18, the midfielder was handed a first start for the Genoans in December, and still only has 31 minutes of first team action under his belt according to SportWitness – guess that’s called getting ahead of the curve.
That may be wise, given Inter Milan are also said to be interested. The big Italian teams don’t let many young talents escape from their country, and if you want one for yourself you have to move quickly and decisively.
We’ll find out just how serious Chelsea are come this summer.
